Aurora Fire Station #9 Complete

Mark Young Construction is proud to have completed the new Aurora Fire Station #9, a modern replacement facility designed to support the City of Aurora Fire Rescue's mission of serving the community.

The two-story, 12,000+ SF station replaced the original nearly 50-year-old facility and includes apparatus bays, bunk rooms, offices, fitness areas, decontamination spaces, kitchens, and support areas tailored to the needs of emergency responders. The project began with demolition of the existing station and significant site stabilization efforts before construction of the new facility.

Designed with both functionality and community integration in mind, the station features a combination of brick veneer, precast concrete, and metal wall panels that complement the surrounding neighborhood. Additional features include pull-through apparatus bays, individualized climate and lighting controls, and thoughtfully designed living and gathering spaces that support firefighter wellness and collaboration.

A unique aspect of the project was preserving the station's history by incorporating bricks from the original fire station into the new monument sign and commemorative displays. The completed facility provides Aurora Fire Rescue with a modern, durable, and efficient station that will serve the community for decades to come.

St. Vrain Administration Building: Delivering a Modern Facility for a Growing Community

Mark Young Construction is proud to have partnered on the new St. Vrain Administration Building, a project designed to support the continued growth and operational needs of the St. Vrain Sanitation District. This 17,653-square-foot facility consolidated administrative offices, planning, inspection, laboratory, warehouse, and maintenance functions into a single, efficient campus that will serve the District for years to come.

Constructed on an 8.3-acre site, the facility features a pre-engineered metal building with high-quality architectural finishes, modern workspaces, and specialized operational areas tailored to the District's needs. Throughout construction, the MYC team worked closely with the owner and design team to proactively address challenges, coordinate long-lead materials, and maintain project momentum despite changing conditions.

The completed facility provides the District with a modern, functional environment that improves operational efficiency, supports future growth, and enhances service to the surrounding communities. MYC is honored to have contributed to a project that strengthens critical infrastructure and supports the long-term needs of the St. Vrain Valley region.

MYC Breaks Ground on Denver Fire Station #40

Mark Young Construction is proud to join the Denver Fire Department (DFD), Denver International Airport (DEN), and the Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) in celebrating the groundbreaking of Denver Fire Station No. 40, a critical new facility that will enhance emergency response times for the rapidly growing communities surrounding DEN and the busy Peña Boulevard corridor.

This station will serve neighborhoods including Green Valley Ranch, Montbello, and Gateway, offering quicker access to emergency services when every second counts. For the first time in Denver, the station will house Advanced Life Support (ALS) capabilities alongside fire and rescue services, expanding resources for both residents and travelers.

Located on a 5.48-acre site just north of 56th Avenue and east of Peña Boulevard, the three-bay station will house shifts for up to eight firefighters and support DEN’s commitment to safety for both airport operations and surrounding communities.

Mark Young Construction is honored to help bring this vital project to life, continuing our mission to build facilities that strengthen public safety and infrastructure across Colorado.

Longmont Museum Sunset Soiree
Mark Young Construction (MYC) was proud to sponsor and attended the Longmont Museum Sunset Soirée, a special evening dedicated to raising funds for the interior furnishings and enhancements that will bring the newly remodeled museum to life.

Currently under construction by MYC, the Longmont Museum Remodel and Expansion includes a revitalized lobby, upgraded galleries, new children’s discovery spaces, enhanced accessibility features, and modernized infrastructure. The Sunset Soirée brought the community together to support the next chapter of the museum—ensuring that when the construction dust settles, the interior spaces will be just as inspiring as the building itself.

For MYC, this project is about more than construction—it’s about supporting a beloved cultural hub that celebrates history, art, and education for generations to come.

MYC Completes New King Soopers Right in Our Neighborhood
On May 21, 2025, Frederick celebrated the grand opening of its very first King Soopers—right in our own backyard. At 123,000 SF, this $33.6M Marketplace is now the largest grocery anchor in Carbon Valley, bringing neighbors access to fresh foods, Murray’s Cheese Shop, sushi, Starbucks, a drive-thru pharmacy, and a fuel center all under one roof.

Beyond groceries, the project is a milestone for Frederick’s growth, creating nearly 300 new jobs and anchoring the Silverstone Marketplace as the community’s go-to destination for shopping, dining, and services. We’re especially proud that our MYC team helped bring this vision to life, contributing not only to the King Soopers itself but also to the broader development that will soon welcome favorite spots like Five Guys, Cold Stone Creamery, Domino’s, and more.

For us, this project was more than construction—it was about building something lasting for our neighbors and helping shape the future of Frederick.
